We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Gold Standards Framework (GSF) teams and organisations recognised at the 2026 Palliative & End of Life Care Awards.
The awards, organised by Care Talk, highlight the dedication, compassion and innovation of those working across health and social care to improve experiences for people approaching the end of life. We were incredibly proud to see so many GSF-trained and accredited organisations represented among this year’s finalists and winners.
As proud sponsors of the Innovation in End of Life Social Care Award, we were honoured to join colleagues, partners and inspirational teams from across the sector for a wonderful evening. We would like to thank Care Talk for creating such a memorable event and for providing a fantastic opportunity to celebrate these incredible teams.
Hosted by Kate Garraway, the evening was filled with celebration, recognition and shared purpose. It was wonderful to see so many colleagues come together to celebrate their achievements – and everyone looked incredible! Guests also enjoyed a fantastic performance from the Tina Turner tribute performer, adding to the atmosphere and making it a truly memorable evening.
GSF also presented The Palliative Care Team for Residential & Nursing Homes (Independent) Award, The Palliative Care Team (Community) Award and The Palliative Care Team for Residential & Nursing Homes (Not for Profit) Award on behalf of the Coalition of Frontline Care for People Nearing the End of Life, who sponsored these awards.
Celebrating GSF excellence in practice
This year’s awards demonstrated the powerful impact of embedding the principles of GSF: recognising people earlier, planning ahead, coordinating care effectively and ensuring that individual wishes remain at the heart of every decision.
Across the finalist organisations, many teams were already engaged with GSF through accreditation, training or wider organisational implementation, highlighting the continued commitment across the sector to improving end of life care.
We are incredibly proud that so many members of the GSF community were recognised nationally, showcasing how teams are translating learning into meaningful improvements for people, families and communities.
