Enabling a gold standard of care for all people nearing the end of life

How to get involved

There are opportunities to join the programme at a variety of venues across the country. We offer an 'Open' Programme and are commissioned for specific local projects. More details of venues and dates are available through the central team. If you are interested in taking part and are in an area that have not commissioned the programme, contact us for information on your nearest training programme venue.

Do contact the GSF Centre CIC for any further information or to book a time to discuss possible options in your area. Tel 01743 291895 or email carehomes@gsfcentre.co.uk

Next Steps

Costs. The GSFCH Programme is delivered by the GSF Centre CIC. There is a charge for each care home to join this training programme, which includes all training, resources, materials, evaluation, and in some areas, venue, awareness raising, training workshops, evaluation and support. This initial cost represents considerable financial saving in the long term, with the predicted decrease in hospital admissions, as well as standards, measures and assurance for better quality care. The costing paper, available from the GSF Centre CIC, gives more detail. Many areas have commissioned the GSF in Care Homes Programme for a number of care homes within a local area.

Residential homes. The GSFCH Programme Phases 1-4 have been focusing on care homes with nursing. We have now developed the programme for care homes with personal care (originally known as residential care homes) and care housing projects - see How It Works
